Sometimes, the dogs we wait the longest for become the ones we were always meant to find. Peony’s story began with faith, patience, and one unforgettable moment that changed everything. From becoming the heart of her family to making new friends everywhere she goes, this little Cavalier has filled life with joy in ways no one expected. Join us as we sit down with Jessica, Peony’s grandmother, to hear the story behind their special bond, the adventures they’ve shared, and what being part of the Peony Celeste family means to them.

How did you first meet Peony?
My daughter had been asking for a dog - specifically a King Cavalier for some time. I put in applications for a number of dogs through Purina’s Petfinder website. Although I had put in many applications and called a number of adoption centers, no one was responding. Then after weeks of trying, I received a message from Puppy and Pals Rescue that the dog I was interested in would be available at an adoption event that day!

By this time, I wasn’t sure which dog they were referring to so, on my way to the adoption event, I spoke to God and asked Him to guide me in making the right decision. When I laid my eyes on Peony (then named “Little Princess”), I instantly fell in love. She was tiny but feisty. I held her in my arms and the rest is history! She’s our Queen Cavalier.

What was life like before Peony?
I never realized how dull life was before Peony. She has brought so much life & love into our lives. We’re constantly going to pup walks, parties, events, hikes and 5k’s and made so many new friends because of her.

Does Peony have a favorite spot for her business?
She has potty pads indoors but she prefers to get fresh air & potty at the neighbor’s house. Even though she’s on their property & barks at the property owners, they’re kind enough to let her pretend she runs the place and do her business in their yard.

What do you look for in everyday dog essentials?
Functionality. The design of the Peony Celeste bags is cute however, the way it opens is so smooth - I often think of BTS’s Butter song because when I open the bag it truly is “smooth like butter.“

What does being a Peony Celeste ambassador mean to you?
We’re honored to be part of the Peony Celeste ambassador program. There’s many potty bags but so many are cheaply made ripping easily and/or are see-through (who wants to see that?!) but not with Peony Celeste bags - they’re study & reliable.

Any final thoughts you’d like to share?
We met Misa, the founder of Peony Celeste at a dog walk and connected on the name “Peony.” Misa is such a sweetheart. We’re delighted to spread the word to support her fantastic business!

The Ambassador Portrait Project

Every dog has a story. Some have helped their families through life’s hardest moments. Others have inspired new adventures, brought laughter back into a home, or simply made every day brighter. Those stories are the heart of Peony Celeste.

When I photograph your dog, I do my best to capture more than just how they look. I hope to preserve their personality, their spirit, and the little expressions that make them uniquely yours.

I truly believe these portraits are one of the most meaningful gifts I can give to our ambassadors. It’s my way of celebrating the bond you share and thanking you for being part of this community.

I feel incredibly grateful for every dog and every family I’ve had the privilege to photograph, and I can’t wait to create many more memories together.
